Abstract:

To obtain an ultraviolet light cut type silicone-based super-water- repelling agent which has a large contact angle and has good whether resistance and a good water and moisture absorption-preventing property to the wood.

This silicone-based super-water-repelling agent which is used for wood, contains two or more of a UV light absorbent, a photostabilizer and a metal oxide, and cuts ≥80% of UV light within a wavelength range of 280 to 400 nm and whose coating film on the wood has a super-water- repelling force comprising a contact angle of ≥120°.
