Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent smoking, ignition and electric shock from occurring when replacing a UV lamp by providing a connector for connecting an inverter substrate which generates high-frequency high voltage for lighting a UV lamp to a control board, on the outside of a device main body.
SOLUTION: The output terminal of an inverter substrate 26 is connected to a lead wire 23 for a UV lamp 21 through a lead wire 43. The lead wire 23 is steadily anchored to a lamp base 47. The input terminal of the inverter board 26 is connected to wiring 45, and the female connector 46a of a connector 46 is connected to the other terminal of the wiring 45. Further, a male connector to be connected to the female connector 46a is connected to a control board 48 with wiring 27. The connector 46 may be of the low dielectric strength type and also is waterproof. In addition, a lamp unit 50 and the connector 46 are protected with a top cover. Under this construction, this ultraviolet sterilization device for water is free from hazards such as arc discharge, smoking and ignition when the connector 46 has a faulty contact. Also there is not hazard of electric chock, if an operator directly touches the connector 46 without the switching off of a power supply.
