Abstract:
To provide an ultraviolet ray absorbing resin composition which has high ultraviolet ray absorptivity, enables an easy preparation of an aqueous coating and gives a coated film having enough strength and durability.
This composition is obtained by mixing 30 to 80 pts.wt. of a melamine compound and 3 to 15 pts.wt. of the compound represented by the formula with 100 pts.wt. of an acrylic copolymer having an acid value of 20 to 200 KOHmg/g and weight average molecular weight of 4,000 to 200,000 (wherein R1 is hydrogen or chlorine; R2 is a 1-5C alkyl group; and R3 is a 1-12C alkyl group).
