PURPOSE: To uniformly form a ultraviolet-ray shielding film made of a metal oxide wholly on both the inside and outside of a globe by dipping the cup-shaped globe opened with an air hole at a tip closure section into a metal oxide solution with a ultraviolet-ray shielding function from the opening side.
CONSTITUTION: A hollow pipe 31 is integrally connected by welding to the tip closure section of a globe 30A. A metal oxide ZnO with a ultraviolet-ray absorbing function is dissolved in a solvent serving as a binder, and a ZnO solution is prepared in a container 50. The hollow pipe 31 is held, and the globe 31A is dipped into the ZnO solution from the opening side. As the globe 30A is lowered, the air in the globe 30A is released to the outside via the hollow pipe 31, and the globe 31A is wholly dipped in the ZnO solution. The globe 30A is lifted and taken out of the ZnO solution, it is dried while the opening side is faced downward, and the hollow pipe 31 is pinched off at the root position after the drying process.
