Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella holding device and an umbrella stand making use thereof capable of reducing the number of components and, at the same time, being easily operated.
SOLUTION: For the umbrella holding device including a body, an umbrella receiving section opened in front of the body and formed in a vertically penetrating shape so as to receive the handle of the umbrella, a shutter sliding in the horizontal direction so as to open and shut an opening section of the umbrella receiving section and a dial lock for controlling the motion of the shutter, the dial lock includes an unlocking number setting mechanism constituted so that it is in a state to enable an optional unlocking number row to set when the shutter is in an opening position by making the shutter directly operate and that it is in a state to enable the set unlocking number row to store when the shutter is in a shutting position and a locking mechanism for directly controlling the motion of the shutter by destroying the unlocking number row when the shutter is in the shutting position.
