Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily prevent rain drops on the surface of a gore (cloth) of an umbrella from spattering or splashing on other places when the umbrella is closed.
CONSTITUTION: A fan-shaped waterproof covering cloth 1, which covers a gore 15 from the base of the ferrule 16 to the rim 15e with a prescribed center angle, is put over the outer surface 15s of the gore 15 of an umbrella 10. The fan- shaped covering cloth 1 is fixed to the gore 15 at its one radius side 2, and a part or the whole of the other radius side 3 is detachably attached to the gore 15.
