Title:
UNCHARGED PARTICLE INCIDENT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0343996
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To control deformation due to thermal elongation of neutrallized cells by providing spaces between the neutralized cell and a magnetic sealing device covering this neutralized cell so as to control sliding of the neutralized cells by the spacers.

CONSTITUTION: Spacers 14 are provided around the neutralized cells 3a, 3b in order to control the axes in the longitudinal direction of the neutralized cells 3a, 3b and displacement due to thermal elongation in the vertical direction. That is, the spacers 14 are attached to the inside of a magnetic shielding device 10, in which the neutralized cells 3a, 3b are opposed to the magnetic shielding device 10, while the spacers 14 are attached to the outer peripheral surface of the neutrallized cell 3b, in which the neutrallized cell 3a is opposed to the neutrallized cell 3b. The tip of each spacer 14 is curvedly formed while being attached so as to have a slight gap from the opposing neutrallized cell. Thereby, even when the neutrallized cells 3a, 3b themselves are thermally elongated, sliding can be smoothly performed without hindering thermal elongation so that the axes in the longitudinal direction and thermal elongation in the vertical direction of the neutrallized cells 3a, 3b can be controlled.
