The uncoiler is provided with a guiding device 20 for guiding the leading edge LE of the metal sheet P situated on the outer circumference of a coil material C into the roll gap between the pair of the rolls 14a, 14b, the guiding device is composed of a first regulating member for regulating the outward movement of the leading edge of the metal sheet in the radial direction of the coil material, a second regulating member which is arranged opposite to and a prescribed interval away from the first regulating member in an inward position in the radial direction than the first regulating member and a moving mechanism for moving the first regulating member and the second regulating member in a direction parting from and approaching the outer circumferential surface of the coil material.
