PURPOSE: To provide a compact assembly having sufficiently high strength white keeping its strength characteristic in particular by forming, from an edge fillet, the hook coupling part of the edge fillet coupled to a rod-shaped member, extending the hook coupling part around the outer surface of the rod-shaped member, and securing the same to the bottom surface of the rod- shaped member. CONSTITUTION: The shapes 4, 5 respectively of a head frame and a leg frame are coupled together by a horizontal rod 6 which is bent downward. The shape 4 includes an inclined face 9 and an outer edge 10, the inclined face 9 facing the similarly inclined face 8 of a shape 7. An edge fillet 11 is hooked to the outer edge 10. Teeth 13 are opposed to a hook coupling part 12 and pass through a network body 14. The shape 4 is also provided with a recessed part 15, into which the horizontal rod 6 can be fitted. The shapes 7, 4 can extend adjacently to each other when inclined and therefore a mattress support can be made compact. Especially when the network body is stretched between the longitudinal shapes 4, 5, the support allows a more comfortable lying position. Also, a curved outer surface is formed for better appearance.
