To provide an under-run protector device for a vehicle, which ensures an approach angle and efficiently prevents a counter vehicle from diving under the own vehicle.
The under-run protector device for the vehicle is provided with a connection bracket 9 downwardly turnably supported on a front end of a vehicle base frame 5; a beam 11 turnably supported on the connection bracket 9 and extending in a vehicle width direction; and an engagement pin 15 for engaging the connection member to the vehicle base frame 5 to suppress turning of the connection bracket 9. The beam 11 is arranged an upper height position Hu than predetermined height Ha determined for ensuring the approach angle. Whereas, when impact load is inputted to the front end of the vehicle, the engagement pin 15 is disengaged and the engagement state of the connection bracket 9 is released and the beam 11 is moved to a lower height position Hl than the predetermined height Ha through the connection bracket 9.
