Abstract:
To provide a lower running body of a work machine enhanced in minimum ground clearance and secured in strength without changing a vehicle width.SOLUTION: A lower running body 2 of a work machine comprises: a crawler frame 7 extending in a longitudinal direction of the lower running body; vertical plates 8a and 8b mounted on both front and rear ends of the crawler frame respectively; an idler wheel 10 that is held by a guide frame 9 mounted on the vertical plate 8a at the front side; a sprocket 12 that is held by a running motor housing 11 mounted on the vertical plate 8b at the rear side; and a covering band 13 hung across the idler wheel and the sprocket. The crawler frame 7 and the vertical plates 8a and 8b extend upper than the guide frame 9 and the running motor housing 11. The vertical plates have guide rollers 14 for securing gaps between the crawler frame and the plates and brackets 15 for supporting the rollers, above the guide frame 9 and the motor housing 11 and outside in a longitudinal direction of the crawler frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
