PURPOSE: To provide an undercoating composition having excellent application properties and giving a film which has excellent corrosion and chipping resistance, is excellent in the property of preventing secondary sagging, and has a low density.
CONSTITUTION: The title composition comprises (100 pts.wt. wax, 10-200 pts.wt., in terms of nonvolatile matter content, basic dispersion of organic and inorganic substances which consists of a metal salt of an organic sulfonic acid, a basic salt of an alkaline earth metal, and an organic solvent, 2-50 pts.wt. α-olefin oligomer, and 2-30 (or 2-50) pts.wt. metal salt of lanolin fatty acid. If necessary, the composition may further contain 1-30 pts.wt. inorganic particles per 100 pts.wt. nonvolatile matter of the whole composition.
