Abstract:
The dowel has an expanding sleeve (4) with central bore for the anchor rod (2) and expanding tabs (5) separated from each other by longitudinal slits and extending from a radial groove (7) to the head part (3). The radial groove contains a ring-shaped body (8) preferably of metal or plastics which when the expanding tabs are spread out substantially fills out the radial groove. The anchor rod and expanding sleeve are constituent parts of a self- tapping rear-cut section.
