Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily and highly precisely calculate an aspect ratio with a function for regarding an average grain diameter and a specific surface area of powder as variables.
CONSTITUTION: An aspect ratio Y is found with a function formula for regarding previously prepared R and A as variables by means of really measurable values such as an average grain diameter and a specific surface area. Y=mRA+n, where m, n: constants. If the aspect ratio Y is expressed with a ratio R'/C of an average value R' of the longest sides (a) of powder to another average value C of the shortest sides thereof, Y=0.5R'A-4 is used as a function and the ratio Y is found. If the aspect ratio Y is expressed as another ratio R"/C of another value R" of diameters equivalent to an area of the powder to the average value C of the shortest sides thereof, Y=0.5R"A-2.75 is used as another function and can be calculated. Thereby the aspect ratio can be calculated with a computer and the like from the average grain diameter and the specific surface area measured with an average grain diameter measuring device and a specific surface area measuring device.
