Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form a device profitable in the cost further enabling a friction loss to be reduced by substantially decreasing a bearing in the underdrive device of an automatic transmission.

CONSTITUTION: Separating right and left positions of an internal diametric part near the third sun gear 53 of a clutch drum 1 and an internal diametric part in the rear end part of an outer race 3 in a one way clutch RDCN-OWC are supported by two bearings 6, 7 respectively for a case side support 5. In this way, a function is provided of two bearings supporting a conventional clutch drum onto the support and two end bearings centering the outer race of the one way clutch. While because the gear S3 spline connects the clutch drum 1 to a helical tooth extension part 9a providing looseness in radial and axial directions, no force in the diametric direction acts from a spline connection part in the time of transmitting torque, and the bearing 2 is only required to support the drum in the central single part meshing the gear S3 with a pinion P3.
