Abstract:

To provide an underfeed ingot-making equipment for a molten metal which can cut down an aftertreatment time by preventing the upward movement of a brick through which the molten metal passes from bottom to top, the occurrence of cracks and the leakage of the molten metal.

The underfeed ingot-making equipment is provided with a fixed base 1 in which an runner 1b is formed, a filling tube 2 through which molten metal is poured into the runner 1b, a mold 3 to which molten metal is introduced from the runner 1b, a block 7 which is provided between the fixed base 1 and the mold 3 and in the center of which has a hole 7a that is made smaller in diameter towards the above, a brick 8, in which a runner 8a that is provided with a space in the radial direction of the hole 7a of the block 7 and is made to connect the runner 1b and the bottom part of the mold 3, is formed and of which outside diameter is made smaller towards the above, and a sleeve 9 which is made to fit into a space between the block 7 and the brick 8.
