Abstract:

To make it possible to store books, which are heavy items, under a floor by improving the strength of the bookcase by means of making it with wood.

A square box shaped bookcase 3 with its top opened is formed with a wooden bottom board 1 and four wooden side boards 2 on four sides. A stile member 4 is fitted on the top end outside of a pair of side boards 2 of the bookcase 3 in the longitudinal direction to the side board 2 and a traveling roller 5 is fitted to the outside of the stile member 4. An opening for taking books in and out of the bookcase 3 is provided on a floor and a plural number of bookcases 3 are arranged on the underfloor. Traveling rollers 5 on both sides of the bookcase 3 is fitting into a pair of traveling rails arranged in parallel to each other on the underfloor in a freely traveling stype. The bookcase 3 being made of wood, it can bear sufficient strength as compared with the conventional synthetic resin made bookcases and books, which are heavy items, can be stored.
