To provide a sampling method by which soil can be sampled even in a curve excavation pathway by a free-curve excavator, investigation of the ingredients of the soil can be accurately conducted, and the sampled soil can be taken out easily.
After the underground is excavated by an excavation bit 6 provided at the tip of the rod part 5 of the free-curve excavator 2 from an excavation starting point by way of a soil-sampling target position 50 and the excavation bit is taken out on the ground, the excavation bit is removed and a soil-sampling tube device 3 is attached. Then the soil-sampling tube device 3 is returned to the soil-sampling target position 50 by way of the inside of the excavation hole 51 formed by excavating the underground, and the soil-sampling tube device 3 is rotated in one direction for taking the soil in the soil-sampling target position 50 into the soil-sampling tube device 3. After that, the soil-sampling tube device 3 is pulled back to the excavation starting point of the excavation hole, and taken out on the ground. Then the soil taken in the soil-sampling tube device 3 is taken out.
