To provide an underwater aerator in which an air diffusing device is jointly provided so as to increase a dissolved oxygen content in water, and which can extend the diffusion range of bubbles, and can adjust sizes of bubbles variably.
In the aerator where the air feed from an air feed pipe 11 is made into bubbles via a gap formed at the lower edge of a diffuser 12, the bubbles get a lift in a water flow discharged to a plurality of water flow discharge ports, and are diffused into water, an aerator body 10 is jointly provided with an air diffusing pipe 20 directly or indirectly communicated with the diffuser 12, and the air diffusing pipe 20 is composed of: a chamber body assembled at the bottom of the aerator body 10 as being inserted into the outside on the discharge side of the air feed pipe 11 and communicated with the diffuser; and an air diffusing ring 22 exhausting the air fed from the chamber body 21 so as to be a bubble shape.
