Title:
UNDERWATER CONSTRUCTION OF WATER-PERMEABLE CONCRETE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5736218
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form water-permeable concrete under water or at the edge of water by adding a tackifier meeting given conditions to a fresh concrete.

CONSTITUTION: In a cylidrical container 5cm in diameter and 40cm in height, filled with 400cc of water, 400cc of a cement paste of a water-cement ratio of 60% is flowed down from the surface of water and then allowed to sand for setting. Then, sampling is made from the uppermost 5cm part and the lowermost 5cm part of the hardened cement paste and the specific gravities of the samples are measured by a testing method, and a tackifier, e.g., polyvinyl alcohol, by which the specific gravity difference of both the samles is made 0.1 or less by binding the cement particles is added in an amount of 0.2W4.0wt% on the basis of cement to form a fresh concrete having a maximum coarse aggregate dimension of 10W20mm, an aggregate amount per unit phase of 1,100W1,800kg/m3, an unit cement amount of 250W400kg/m3, an unit water content of 80W140kg/m3, and a porosity of 15W35%. The fresh concrete is dropped onto a given position.
