Title:
UNDERWATER EXPLORING METHOD USING REFRACTIVITY GENERATED AT BOUNDARY BETWEEN RECTILINEAR ADVANCING PROPERTY OF LASER AND HETEROGENEOUS WATER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007178350
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a new method for efficiently discovering the presence of non-seawater (fresh water, geothermal water, mineral water, etc.) gushing out from a water bottom, specially at the sea bottom.
In the underwater exploring method utilizing rectilinearity of laser light, a laser light emitting device and a laser light receiving device are arranged underwater precisely facing each other at a predetermined distance within a range in which the laser light traveling straight ahead is detected, and changes in the receiving laser light in magnitude correlation are detected. Thus, the presence of a substance that causes the laser light to be refracted within a predetermined interval is determined.
