To provide an underwater object search planning support device which quantitatively recognizes advantages and disadvantages of an underwater object and a searching machine.
A simulation part 103 performs a simulation in which an underwater object is caused to take avoidance behavior in accordance with an avoidance behavior pattern corresponding to a probability of occurrence stored in a storage part 102 while using, as an initial state, a state in which underwater objects are distributed evenly in a search area. A display part 104 graph-displays, moment by moment, an existence distribution of underwater objects in the search area in the simulation and a relation between the number of underwater objects having been detected by the searching machine and the number of underwater objects having detected the searching machine and elapse of time, to thereby quantitatively display advantageous and disadvantageous states of the underwater object and the searching machine at a current time, and elapse-of-time progress.
