Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent invasion of underwater organism in a water intake channel by an electric screen securely, achieve safety to human beings prevent generation of troubles in intake by garbage or the like.

CONSTITUTION: Recessed parts 5 are formed in wall surfaces 2 facing each other on both sides of an inlet channel, 1, electrodes 4 are disposed in the recessed parts 5, a DC voltage or AC voltage or a pulse voltage is applied to both electrodes 4 to form an electric screen for preventing invasion of underwater organisms, and insulation nets 7 are provided at such positions as to form the surfaces flush with the wall surfaces 2 at the front faces of the recessed parts 5 covering the electrodes 4.
