Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement an underwater propulsion device with a good propulsion efficiency during the high-speed navigation.SOLUTION: The underwater propulsion device 1 comprises a propeller 11, a motor 12 and a housing 5. The motor 12 is arranged in front of the propeller 11 in the propulsion direction and rotationally drives the propeller 11. The housing 5 houses the motor 12 and the propeller 11. The housing 5 has a first part 5a and a second part 5b. The second part 5b is placed behind the first part 5a in the propulsion direction. An inlet port 21 and an exhaust nozzle 22 are formed in the second part 5b. The inlet port 21 introduces water into the inside of the housing 5. The exhaust nozzle 22 ejects water introduced from the inlet port 21 and discharged by the propeller 11, to the outside of the housing 5. When viewed in the direction parallel to the propulsion direction, the inlet port 21 is arranged on the outer side than the first part 5a. The inlet port 21 introduces water into the inside of the housing 5 in the parallel direction to the axial line 11c of the propeller 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
