PURPOSE: To provide an easily manufacturable and assembleable repeater provided with a fiber storage device capable of storing many fibers.

CONSTITUTION: The storage device is provided with a first almost cylindrical main body 12 provided with plural first circular surface grooves 125 for the respective fibers of a cable housing plural fiber windings, a second almost cylindrical main body 13 provided with one second circular surface groove 135 housing the plural windings of respective tail fibers relating to a reproduction for each first groove 125, third surface grooves 126 and 136 for communicating the respective first and second circular grooves 125 and 135 provided on the first and second main bodies for housing splices between the fibers stored in the grooves and a casing means 14 for holding the fibers and the splices inside the grooves.
