A bearing replacing beam 50 is mounted between the surface of the concrete 40 in the vicinity of the short strut 20 and the temporary cofferdam wall 10, the short strut 20 is contracted by the contraction of a jack 22, and a steel plate 60 having a filling port 60B is made to abut on the surface of the concrete 40 in a manner of covering a recess 40A formed at the surface of the concrete 40 at a location corresponding to the short strut 20. Then, the short strut 20 is extended by the extension of the jack 22, the short strut 20 is mounted between the steel plate 60 and the cofferdam wall 10, and mortar 61 is filled into the recess 40A via the filling port 60B.
