Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater suspended solid detecting device and underwater suspended solid detecting method for accurately detecting the content of suspended solid such as sediment contained in water flowing in a river or water flowing into an intake, and a control method for an intake constituting power equipment.
SOLUTION: This underwater suspended solid detecting device includes: a collision plate 21, the front of which is a collision surface 21a where the suspended solid such as the sediment contained in water collides; and a detecting part 12 provided on the back of the collision plate 21 for detecting the collision of the suspended solid with the collision surface 21a of the collision plate 21. The collision plate 21 is freely elastic in the direction of thickness of the collision plate 21. The underwater suspended solid detecting devices 10, 11 are disposed in the vicinity of the intake 7 and the vicinity of the river, whereby according to the detection results of the respective underwater suspended solid detecting devices 10, 11, the intake 7 is automatically closed or opened depending on whether the number of times of collision of suspended solid M per unit hour is above a designated value or below it.
