Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for supplying a raw liquid in a filter press, in which the filtration efficiency is improved without necessitating a large scaled apparatus or a stuff skillful in technique even if properties of sludge, surplus soil, or the like, is changed in time series at random. SOLUTION: The raw liquid supply apparatus has a filtrate detecting means 17 for detecting the quantity of a filtrate 19 per unit time, which is discharged from a filter chamber 13, at a fixed time before or after the change of operation that the raw liquid composed of a solid/liquid mixture is supplied to a plurality of the filter chambers 13 formed by adjacent filter plates 12 by being switched from a low pressure pump 15 to a high pressure pump 16, a filtrate comparing and computing means for comparing between the quantity Q1 of the filtrate detected before the change of the operation and the quantity Q2 of the filtrate after the change of the operation and computing, and a pump operation switching control means for prolonging the next working time of the low pressure pump 15 when the computed result in the filtrate comparing and computing means is Q1>Q2 and for shortening the next working time of the low pressure pump 15 when Q1>Q2.
