To provide a communication/broadcast unified access system and its method which provides users with services on a unit platform for accepting any of them such as various communications, broadcasts, etc., and minimizes the change of the existing network structure.
The system for servicing with communications unified with broadcasts comprises a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter RF-multiplexes CATV broadcast signals with satellite broadcast signals to convert them into one optical signal having a specified wavelength and output it, and then multiplexes the optical signal with internet data signals to transmit a communication-broadcast optical signal composed of multiplexed optical signals having mutual different wavelengths over a specified optical fiber. The receiver receives the transmitted optical signals, inversely multiplexes them by wavelength bands to separate them into the RF-multiplexed CATV broadcast signals, the satellite broadcast signals and the internet data signals, separates the RF-multiplexed CATV broadcast signals and the satellite broadcast signals, utilizing their frequency bands being different, and transmits the separated signals respectively to corresponding terminal means.
