Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniflow scavenging two-cycle engine for making uniform concentrations of fuel gas and active gas drawn in during one time of opening or closing a scavenging port.SOLUTION: A uniflow scavenging two-cycle engine comprises: a cylinder having a combustion chamber formed therein; a piston sliding within the cylinder; a scavenging space which surrounds one end side of the piston in the stroke direction and into which compressed active gas is introduced; a scavenging port 118 provided in a portion, which is located within the scavenging space, of the cylinder and drawing in the active gas into the combustion chamber from the scavenging space in response to a slide operation of the piston; a fuel injection port 154 provided outward of the scavenging port in the radial direction of the cylinder and injecting fuel gas to the active gas drawn in by the scavenging port; and an opening/closing mechanism 128 opening or closing the fuel injection port in response to a pressure difference between a first position at which a pressure change occurs in accordance with a degree of opening of the scavenging port and a second position at which a pressure change is smaller than the pressure change at the first position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
