Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniflow scavenging two-cycle engine for performing appropriate scavenging in response to a compression ratio.SOLUTION: A uniflow scavenging two-cycle engine is configured so that a scavenging port 126 comprises a swirl guide part 126a introducing scavenging gas from outside to inside of a cylinder 110 in the direction inclined with respect to the radial direction of the cylinder; and a central guide part 126b provided closer to a crank side of the cylinder than the swirl guide part and introducing the scavenging gas to a center side of the cylinder with respect to the swirl guide part, at least a portion of the central guide part faces a piston 112 when the piston is at a bottom dead center (FIG. 7(b)) in a high compression ratio mode, and the central guide part does not face the piston or an area by which the central guide part faces the piston is smaller than an area in the high compression ratio mode when the piston is at the bottom dead center (FIG. 7(a)) in a low compression ratio mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
