Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uninterruptible power supply unit capable of eliminating, at a low cost, possibility that the voltage of electric power supplied to an electronic apparatus may temporarily drop when an instantaneous stop of a commercial power supply occurs.SOLUTION: A UPS 10 includes: a battery 11; a step-up chopper circuit 12 that converts electric power of the battery 11; and a voltage control circuit 13 that controls the step-up chopper circuit 12 so that an output voltage Vout of the step-up chopper circuit 12 is maintained at a lower standby voltage Vout1 than a rated voltage Vout2 under such a state where a power failure detection signal PWOK is not output from an ATX power supply 20 and so that the output voltage Vout of the step-up chopper circuit 12 is the rated voltage Vout2 under such a state where the power failure detection signal PWOK is output from the ATX power supply 20.
