Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a union with a built-in strainer for a drain trap, that achieves all of the structural simplification of the drain trap, improvement in the maintenance workability of the strainer, smooth flows of drainage, and a shape free from an obstructing part.SOLUTION: A union which has a built-in strainer mounted on a drain trap pipeline or mounted directly on the drain trap, is constructed of a fastening nut, a first pipe inserted into the fastening nut, a strainer inserted into the first pipe, and the second pipe screwed with the fastening nut. The fastening nut is screwed with the second pipe under the condition that the first pipe is inserted into a through hole of the fastening nut, and the strainer is inserted into a flow channel of the first pipe. This process enables the employment of a means for holding and fixing the union by pressing dowm an end part on the flow entrance side of the first pipe and a base end part of the strainer by an end part of the second pipe.
