Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a UW(unique word) in response to a change of a line status between radio stations, so as for the UW to be optimum for the line status.
SOLUTION: A line status measuring device 15 measures how serious an error code is generated in a received radio signal, to know the quality of a line always. Then, in response to the result of the line status, a UW selector 16 selects a proper UW that should be add to a burst signal as a UW change information, so as for a communication party to use the selected UW. Since the communication party will send a radio signal with the UW specified, in preparation for detecting it, the UW selector 16 provides the selected UW change information to a UW detector 122. At this time, for instance, the number of UWs is automatically changed into a higher number if the line status is bad, to increase a UW detection rate, and into a lower number if the line status is good, to decrease the UW detection rate.
