Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a fault in a short time according to simple control by detecting the occurrence of fault at one spot and to distribute traffic in a short time according to simple control by measuring traffic at one spot.
SOLUTION: Concerning a physical transmission line, where a fault is detected, by reloading an IP table so as to detour this line, a frame, which passes through the physical transmission line detecting the fault before the occurrence of fault, passes a bypass after the occurrence of fault. Since the frame arrives through the bypass, a MAC address, which corresponds to the physical transmission line and a logic channel detecting the fault before the fault occurrence, is updated to correspond to the physical transmission line and the logic channel corresponding to that bypass after the fault occurrence. Besides, traffic is measured and concerning the physical transmission line, where the quantity of traffic exceeding a threshold is measured, such a line is detoured.
