Abstract:
To provide a unit and a method for constructing a scour protection, which can install a scour protection material directly below or near an overhanging scaffold of a monopile type structure.SOLUTION: A construction method uses a unit 1 is for constructing a scour protection, which is provided with a work ship 3 in which a water crane 2 is disposed. The water crane 2 includes a lower suspension beam 25 suspended by a first wire 23, disposed below an overhanging scaffold 51 in a vertical direction, and provided with a lower cord 27 for suspending a scour protection material 4, and an upper suspension beam 26 suspended by a second wire 24 and disposed above the overhanging scaffold 51 in the vertical direction. The lower suspension beam 25 and the upper suspension beam 26 are formed to have larger widths in at least one direction than those in a direction orthogonal to the overhanging direction of the overhanging scaffold 51. A scout protection part is formed at a water bottom peripheral edge 6 of a monopile type structure 5. The lower suspension beam 25 is lowered in a state where the position of the upper suspension beam 26 is maintained, and the scour protection material 4 is installed at the water bottom peripheral edge 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
