The camera head is contained in a perfectly waterproof-structured exterior cover so as to exchange a video and voice signal and a camera control signal with a device body with a cord 7. The optical signal transmitting and receiving parts 4 and 5 are provided at a camera head side, the optical signal receiving and transmitting parts 34 and 33 are at a motor-driven universal head side and they are arranged so as to mutually exchange the optical signals when the camera head is mounted on the motor-driven universal head. The control part 32 of the motor-driven universal head receives the control signal such as a tilt and a pan, etc., which is transmitted from the device body to the camera head with the cord 7, by way of the optical signal transmitting part 4 and the optical signal receiving part 34 and tilt mechanism 30 and pan mechanism 31 are driven by an incorporated battery 35.
