To suppress a needle-like roll or the like from being injured at assembling of a universal joint.

In the universal joints 1A, 1B, an outer ring cup 17 for supporting a trunnion 15A of a cross shaft 13 through a needle-like roll is fitted into a fitting hole 21 of a first yoke 11 in the press-fit state. The fitting hole 21 has an entrance 32 opened for fitting the outer ring cup 17 and an inner peripheral surface 35 of the fitting hole 21 includes a press-fit part 36 formed in a depth of the fitting hole 21 and press-fitting an outer peripheral surface 28b of the outer ring cup 17; and a diameter enlargement part 37 formed in a range of predetermined length from the entrance 32 of the fitting hole 21 and diameter-enlarged than the press-fit part 36. Contraction of the diameter of the outer ring cup 17 fitted to the diameter enlargement part 37 can be suppressed and the trunnion 15A and the needle-like roll 18 can be suppressed from being injured at the press-fitting. In the case of the fitting hole 21 of the first and second yokes 11, 12, freedom of design of the shape can be enhanced.
