To solve a problem of an universal joint that although an outer ring cup of a bearing provided between a trunnion of a cross shaft and a fitting hole of a yoke is pressed into the fitting hole of the yoke, the outer ring cup, the outer ring cup sometimes moves for the fitting hole by vibration shock and, when the outer ring cup moves, pre-load escape and backlash occur in the bearing.

The bottomed cylinder shape outer ring cup 28 is pressed into the fitting hole 25 of a tab 23 of the yoke and rotatably support the trunnion 24 of the cross shaft via a needle roller 27. A caulking part 34 formed at an inlet edge part 33 of the fitting hole 25 is engaged with an outer peripheral edge of a bottom wall 32 of the outer ring cup 28. A fixing material 35 formed in a discoid covering an inlet 33a of the fitting hole 25 fixes the outer ring cup 28 to the tab 23. The outer ring cup 28 is prevented from moving in the fitting hole 25.
