To provide a universal joint excelling in lubrication component retention, limiting a rate of lubrication component exudation to a required minimum even when having deformation by external force, excelling in affinity in initial stage, having long service life and low cost, and excelling in productivity.
In the universal joint, rotation torque is transmitted through engagement of track grooves 3, 4 formed in an outer member 2 and an inner member 1 and a torque transmitting member 5, the torque transmitting member 5 rolls along the track grooves 3, 4 and performs axial displacement, and initial stage lubricant 10 and foam lubricant 9 having a lubrication component contained in a resin foaming/hardening to become porous are provided together inside, wherein the initial stage lubricant 10 exists in at least one selected from a bottom of the outer member, a rolling part and a sliding part of the universal joint.
