Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the cycle time of forming by a method wherein a two vertical layer type transfer arm is provided in such a manner that an upper layer chucking mechanism is provided in the upper layer and a lower layer chucking mechanism is provided.
CONSTITUTION: Through the rightward movement of a transfer arm 14, a bottom plate 3, onto which formed bodies W are placed, is transferred from above a bottom mold 1 to a formed body reversing device 4 and, at the same time, a next empty bottom plate 3 is transferred above the bottom mold 1. Further, through the leftward or restoring movement of the transfer arm 14, another bottom plate 3 is returned by means of a lower layer chucking mechanism 19 through below the bottom mold 1 to a bottom plate lifting device 16. Thus, a large number of sets of the bottom plates 3 are successively moved for use, resulting in making the very quick sending-back of the bottom plate 3 possible as compared with a method, in which one set of the bottom plates 3 is used, and the shortening of the cycle time of the formed body also possible.
