The unmanned carrier system includes: an unmanned carrier which travels on a predetermined conveyance path for conveying luggage; a ground controller for managing the unmanned carrier; and a vehicle body controller installed in the unmanned carrier for making the unmanned carrier travel. At least a part of the conveyance path is disposed in a first area and a second area where the unmanned carrier travels, and the first area is divided from the outside of the first area by a division facility for preventing the entering/leaving of a person. The vehicle body controller makes the unmanned carrier travel such that the highest travel speed of the unmanned carrier in the first area becomes higher than the highest travel speed of the unmanned carrier in the second area.
