Abstract:
PURPOSE:To control the switching of a detecting area smoothly by changeing the detecting area automatically in accordance with its condition by using a single personal sensor. CONSTITUTION:A sensor distance switching control part 14 applies a distance parameter, i.e. L1 in case of a near distance and L2 in case of a far distance, designating the distance of a detecting area to a customer sensor 15 in accordance with respective state of sequence operation. If the customer is detected within the distance L2, a power supply of an I/O means part 6 and a display screen are turned on then the distance parameter L2 is changed to L1. If the customer is detected within the distance L1, a guide message indicating the insertion of a cash card is displayed. At the discharge of the cash card, cash, etc. after completing the costomer's operation, the customer exists within the distance L1 is confirmed. If the existence of the customer within the distance L1 is not detected, the state is regarded as the generation of an accident and the discharge is stopped or a shutter is closed. When the normal end of the device operation is confirmed, the power supply of the I/O means part and the display screen are turned off and the distance parameter is returned to L2.
