To provide an unmanned method and device for transmitting information on lenses by which information on lenses is transmitted at a convenient location near the residences and places of work of customers while the device keeps a face-to-face selling factor so that the customers may purchase lenses at the location at need.

The unmanned device for transmitting information on lens which transmits information on lenses from a fixed space into which the customers can enter incorporates a visual acuity measuring means 103 which measures the corrected visual acuity of the customers in a state where the customers take off their spectacles, a communication means 104 which processes the measurement data from the measuring means 103 and transmits processed data to a manned lens processing center, and an output means 105 which displays and/or aurally conveys instructions regarding the lenses. The device also incorporates an input means 106 which inputs the instructions regarding the lenses.
