To obtain an unsaturated polyester resin composition excellent in low temperature moldability, capable of preventing thermal decomposition and volatilization of a natural antimicrobial agent, and thereby suitable for providing a molded product excellent in antimicrobial activities, and further to provide a method for producing the molded product excellent in antimicrobial activities and molded by using the composition.

This unsaturated polyester resin composition comprising 100 pts.wt. unsaturated polyester resin, 0.05-2 pts.wt. natural antimicrobial agent, 0.1-20 pts.wt. fluidizing agent in a heated state, having 40-150°C melting point, a reinforcing fiber and a hardening agent has 2-50 wt.% content of the reinforcing fiber in the whole composition. The method for producing a molded product comprises carrying out a compression molding of a molding material consisting of the unsaturated polyester resin composition at 60-120°C molding temperature to provide the molded product.
