PURPOSE: The titled composition that is composed of a specific unsaturated polyester containing imide and isocyanurate groups in the molecules and a polymerizable monomer containing acrylic or methacrylic ester, thus being suitably used as a coil-impregnation varnish, because of its heat resistance and insulation properties.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is produced by mixing (A) 20W80pts. wt. of an unsaturated polyester having imide and isocyanurate groups in the molecules, which is prepared by reaction between a primary amine such as 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane, an anhydried having another anhydried group or carboxyl such as pyromellitic anhydried, an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative such as maleic anhydride alcohols whose 5W30 equivalent % is tris- (2-hydroxyethyl)isocyanurate (mainly such as propylene glycol), with (B) 80W 20pts. of monomers whose 10W50% is acrylic or methacrylic ester of tris-(2- hydroxyethyl)isocyanurate (mainly such as styrene).
