To provide an unwanted radio wave suppressing structure which can alleviate a wind load on the foundation and can be easily installed within a limited space.
The structure includes a surface type radio wave absorbing material installed around a road so that unwanted radio wave coming from the neighborhood of the road can be attenuated and suppressed by means of the surface type radio wave absorbing material. In the surface type radio wave absorbing material, a resistive layer is disposed in the incoming direction of the unwanted radio wave interposing an air layer with a reflective layer which reflects radio wave. One resistive layer and one air layer make a pair, and at least one such pair is provided in the absorbing material. The reflective layer and the resistive layer have air gaps through which air passes so as to reduce the wind load on the surface type radio wave absorbing material 1.
