PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper lighting device, in which a clear binary image and a mutilevel image or the like are suitably obtained by floodlighting a mark in the floodlighting direction and illuminance suitable therefor without becoming a factor of large-sizing of a cutting device itself and also in accordance with material (rise and lowering of reflectance) and color (density, a kind) of a work and color (density, a kind) and the shape of a mark fixed to the work.
SOLUTION: A plurality of pieces of light source arranging parts 36 combining light sources B are provided at intervals in the part surrounding at least a visual field space 16 of a stripper 6. In the light souce arranging parts 36, projection holes 36a of the light sources B are opened in the base of the stripper 6. Control of illuminance of the light sources B and selection of the turning on/off light sources B are performed. Thereby, a clear binary image and a multilevel image or the like are obtained in accordance with material (rise and lowering of reflectance) and color (density, a kind) of a work W and color (density, a kind) and the shape of a mark fixed to the work W and the better reflection atmosphere is made.
