To provide an automobile suspension upper mount M having high supporting rigidity and improved reliability, and reduced in weight and cost.
The upper mount M is provided with: an inner bracket 1 adapted to be fastened to the upper end of a rod R of a shock absorber S; and an outer bracket 3 connected thereto via a rubber elastic body 2 and adapted to be fastened to a vehicle body panel. The outer bracket 3 consists of an upper member 4 and a lower member 5 each molded of an iron-based thin plate material. The upper member 4 has: a bottomed cylindrical body part 40 opened toward the upper side; a plate-like flange part 41 extending from the upper edge thereof; and side plate parts 42 suspended from both side edges thereof to the lower side and welded at their inner periphery side edges to the outer periphery of the body part 40.
