PURPOSE: To surely collect the water left in a water pan in a water tank for ice making when the water pan is tilted.

CONSTITUTION: An upright ice machine is provided with an ice making chamber 101 to be open in the transverse direction, a water pan 103 which is brought close to the ice making chamber and pivotably supported at the upper part in a tiltable and separable manner, and an ice making water tank 111 which is arranged to the lower part of the ice making chamber. The lower part of the water pan is of gutter shape, and at least one discharge part is provided in a wall of the gutter part 109. A water receiving part 155 of the ice making water tank is arranged below the path of tiltation of the discharge part. The discharge part is, more concretely, at least one opening formed in the side wall part of the gutter part, and a water drip part 169 is provided on the part to demarcate the lower limit of the opening.
